What’s Your Roof Style

There are seven most commonly occurring roof types in Australia.


Hipped Roof – a roof where all slides are slopping downwards to the walls.

Saw tooth Roof – a roof that comprises of a series of ridges with either sides having a dual pitch.

Mansard Roof – has four sides like gambrel style hip roof characteristic by two slopes on each of its sides.

Gable Roof – is a triangular shaped portion of a wall between the edges of a dual pitched roof.

Dutch Gable Roof – a roof with a small gable at the top of a hip roof.

Skillion Roof – is a single sloping roof.

Dormer roof – is where a structural element of a building that protrudes from the plane of a sloping roof surface.
